Social Media Tips For Pest Control Professionals

If you run a busy pest control business, but you would still like more customers, then it’s time to start thinking a little more creatively about how you advertise your business. If you are busy already, it’s because you already have a handle on your business advertising, and you probably already advertise in local newspapers and community publications as well as handing out flyers and brochures whenever you can. You may not realize the power of advertising on social media – but it’s time that you did. All the smart businesses have a presence on social media these days because they understand the amount of custom that it generates. You may be a little reluctant to get started – after all you are probably already too busy carrying out your day to day work. Social media offers a unique form of advertising that you can’t get anywhere else. It works on the principle that word of mouth is everything – it’s just an online version of a chat over the garden fence. It is really easy to get started – all you need is to register an account with a couple of social media platforms (and we recommend Twitter and Facebook as a start). All you need is an email address and a password, and you can get started straight away by building your profile and telling people a little about the services that you offer. Ask your friends to share your page with their friends, and the word will soon start to spread. When customers are happy with your services, ask them to join your page and post some feedback. This sort of information is really important to potential customers who will read this good feedback and feel confident in booking your services.

Provide Information

The more you know about your subject, the more authoritative you will look to your potential customers. Consider posting a blog once a week with interesting information such as how to get rid of wasps nest or how to remove mice and rats from your home. You will soon become a source of information for many people, and as a by-product you’ll look far more genuine to the search engines. Use social media platforms to establish yourself as an expert in your field, and it won’t be long before your reputation starts to build.
